On December 11, 1868, the National Association of Baseball Players barred any team who had black ballplayers in their rosters. This was the first official "color line" in baseball. In 1920, Rube Foster (Father of Black Baseball) formed the Negro National League which was restructured in 1933. The Negro American League was formed in 1937. Both leagues played eleven World Series and their own All-Star game which came to be the biggest black sports event in the nation...
